The Big Crown was the first company to successfully produce a mechanical wristwatch with an automatically changing date mechanism. That model was the Datejust, and it debuted in 1945. The Date is a cousin of that trailblazing watch that sports a nearly identical design set with a slightly smaller 34mm Oyster case. Great patina on the dial. Overall good case condition and decent bracelet. Movement appears to be functioning well also.
