Description: Rolex GMT-Master II ref 16700
Pre-owned Rolex GMT-Master II ref 16700 (1997 - 1998) was the last of the original GMT Master watches and was produced for many years alongside ref. 16710 - a variation of the then-new GMT Master II. The most notable difference between the two models was the movements. Ref. 16700 did not have an independent GMT hand, while ref. 16710 from the GMT Master II collection did. As a result, ref. 16700 was often positioned as the more affordable option between the two. Ultimately, Rolex produced ref. 16700 for many years before discontinuing it in the late 1990s. This edition of the famous pilot's watch will appeal to collectors who appreciate the potential of a last-of Rolex. Of course, it also sports the white gold applied hour markers and Pepsi tow-tone bezel, which many passionate collectors are after.
